Weekly CB Update
The weekly Children’s Bridge update came in today and nothing new to report. The saying is “no news is good news” but it’s been so long since we’ve had any positive news on dates that I’m now considering no news as bad news. It just means that timelines are still slow.

Fredericton Hayride
We were supposed to attend the adoptive families’ hayride in Fredericton this weekend but our plans have changed and I don’t think we’ll make it. I’ll stick my neck out and say that we’ll have our kid by this time next year so we’ll be there next year.

China Momma's
Jen had a good turnout last night at the monthly “China Momma’s” supper. A combination of the time of year and the draw to the new Don Cherry’s restaurant probably helped boost the numbers. Some new families have popped up so the community is growing stronger here in Moncton every day.

We Live in a Small Town
Oh! How we live in a small town. Jen drug me out to Champlain Place the other night for some early Christmas shopping. On the way home, we took a small detour and stopped by Home Hardware on Elmwood Drive the other night. I was looking for a special electrical connector and thought to try there to see if they had it. We got out of the car and were getting close to the OUT door just as a woman was coming out. We weren’t really paying attention but heard a big “HI”. It was a woman from the Children’s Bridge information session in Moncton back in the spring. She recognized us. She said they are still contemplating adoption and have our adoption business card with the website address and check our site on a regular basis. It’s nice to know that our site gets traffic.

That’s it for now. I’m very happy that it’s Friday afternoon.
