As we’re getting closer to our trip to
I think we should be able to handle things, at least going over. Coming back may be an issue as we’ll have everything we bought. We’re allowed 2 bags each on the plane and 2 bags each for luggage. For me, that’s my Air Canada approved rolling luggage bag for clothes and necessities and a knapsack for anything else. We bought some new lightweight rigid sided luggage so we’re prepared as far as luggage goes.

Hi Jen and Scott,
The luggage thing was interesting for us. I don't have a clue how the "carry on only" people do it. Marvin and I left here with each two large suitcases and two carry ons. Since Kennedy was allowed one coming home, we bought another suitcase in china. And we were stuffed!! When we checked in our luggage, no one ever seemed concerned about the weight...we were nervous because we know we were over. The "in China flights" only allow one suitcase each of 44 lbs...you should have seen us scrambling our first night in Beijing to figure out what we could leave behind. We knew we would have to do this but it's hard to know what you won't need for a week with a new baby...Honestly, we used most everything we took!!
You guys are getting soooo close now. Good luck and if you have any questions, throw them our way!!
