OK, not much to report, so I thought I would post a rumour that’s floating around. I’m not big on rumors but this will give people an idea of how foggy the information is that we receive. We take these rumors and cut them apart to find the truths behind them. Not much truths come from these rumors, but it makes for interesting reading.
Seems someone with a December log-in date has been told by their agency that they should expect their referral in February. If that’s the case, we should get our referral in January. Earlier this year, the CCAA move to a different building which slowed them down considerably. They now are supposedly all settled and ready to start processing full months again.
I wouldn’t put much hope in this though. From what I understand of the process, the bottleneck is with too many files for too few children, not with a slowdown in processing. I’m still hoping that we’ll get our referral on Jen’s birthday at the end of March and travel on my birthday at the end of May, but even those dates may be too early.

There's a few people on the December board saying they have been told to expect referrals in Feb, and to expect CCAA to start sending whole months worth of referrals again, starting with this batch.
Has anyone else heard this? I'd LOVE to get a referral in January, and be home before mid-April (to avoid re-doing CIS paperwork!)

Mmm, I would be pretty skeptical about this. In order for us Nov LID's to get a referral in January, the CCAA is going to have to do an incredible speed up. Also, October and November are HUGE months, so I am thinking there is no way they will be able to get through them that quickly. We can always live in hope I guess.....

I havent heard anything, but I LOVE the sound of this "rumour" I will keep my ear out for news and will post if I hear anything....do you know if this is from a reliable source?

Oh, and then someone chimed in with "hey, that's what my agency said too." But I think they both have the same agency. I also saw a post somewhere, I've forgotten where that basically stated that this person was in China last week, completing their adoption, and her guide said that the CCAA move had really slowed them down, but they were all settled now, and ready to pick up the pace.
I'd love to believe that this whole slow down has been due to preparing for/completing/recovering from the CCAA's move to new offices.

As near as I can figure there may be two agencies saying Feb for the Dec people. It seems two people have the same agency but a third person said their agency is saying the same thing. One of the agencies says that there contact in China, who they claim has been doing IA since almost the beginning, is reporting that the CCAA will be doing full months from now on. I am skeptical- because even if they do a whole month of Sept., Oct is bigger and Nov is even bigger. I guess time will tell

Okay if they do the rest of August, all of September which is normal size and a bit of Oct this month. Then they could complete Oct in Dec and Nov in Jan.
But that would be some amazing work. They have completed 2 months in one month before, but it's been a LONG LONG time. I have a hard time believing this, but I would be excited if it came true :)
