Our first piece of fabric

Tuesday, November 21, 2006 | |

We had a nice surprise when we got home and checked our mailbox last night. In the mailbox was a regular sized envelope addressed to Baby Fillmore. It was our first piece of fabric for our 100 Wishes quilt.

This piece of fabric came from Bev and Wayne Crouse from Nova Scotia. Bev and my mother went to Nursing School way back when and they have stayed friends ever since. I remember as a kid going to visit them when they lived in Cape Breton and Wayne taking us guys fishing. It's about the only time I've ever caught anything while fishing. Remember the squid fishing trip Wayne?

As you'll see in the picture, the fabric has an Anne of Green Gables theme to it and is all the way from Japan. Bev is from PEI and therefor it has a special meaning to her with PEI being the home of Anne of Green Gables.

Thanks guys for the first piece of fabric for our 100 Wishes quilt.

If anyone else out there want to send us some fabric, the original blog message with the information is HERE.

Hi guys,

Getting the fabric in the mail everyday is a great feeling. I'll go through my fabric and send you a piece.

I'm going INSANE tonight. I just keep thinking one more sleep and I'll here some rumours.

Good luck with your quilt.
