Day 1 of the Children's Bridge Seminar

Well day 1 is done and we’re both pooped!

We were back at the hotel @ 8:30 and helped welcome everybody to the room. There were a lot of familiar faces there from Saint John & Fredericton and we even got to put some faces to some people who we’ve seen names for over the internet but never had the opportunity to meet them.

We had sessions on what to expect when travelling, what to expect when we get the baby, potential medical concerns, etc. One interesting activity we did was to list our top 5 activities we do. Then they said that with the time a kid takes, scratch 3 off, then scratch 1 more off. Just an example of how much life will change. On a sour note, they are saying now to expect at least 12 months from LID to referral then 8 weeks to travel, so if that’s the case, it looks like we’ll receive our referral at the end of November and wont travel until the end of January.

Later, we met up with the CB staff and some other Regional Coordinators for supper. We dropped the CB people back at the hotel and now we’re ready to crash for the night.
