Well, the time grows nearer to when we should be hearing from the social worker to meet with her and review her report.
While we're waiting we've started the paperwork for Children's Bridge for China. Jennifer has done a draft copy of the letter we need to submit to the Chinese government. I've done our financial statement. We've got copies of our passports, and birth certificates. We're both still waiting for our medical reports from our doctors. Mine had to be re-written as it needs to be legible and Jennifer's needs some clarification and her doctor seems to always be closed.
We found out from Children's Bridge that the reference letters needed from friends and family is only needed in Ontario, so that saves us some work.
Both Jen and I are waiting for letters from our employers. We should have those by next week.
Jen was talking to Childrens Bridge yesterday and if all goes as planned, it will be sometime around next July when we travel.
We still have to decide on a guardian for our daughter. We're having a hard time deciding who to ask as everyone we've thought of would make great guardians. We need to decide quick as the social worker needs to mention it in her report.
We also have to gather up photos of ourselves, our house, and activities we do. These have to go to China so they can see who we are, where we live and what we do.
So, we've made some more progress, just at a snails pace.
More paperwork completed
