Sunday and Monday night activities

Sunday night, Children's Bridge put on a "Preparing to Travel" seminar. A bit early, but they only offer it every 10 months or so so we had to attend, and it was well worth the sacrifice of the evening.

This seminar was to explain how to pack, what to pack, how to deal with the new baby, what to expect with the new baby, what do do when we get home etc. There were 15+ couples there and Cathy from CB talked for over 3 hours with TONS of useful information. Thanks Cathy.

Monday night, CB put on an introduction to adopting from China. Jennifer and I attended the one in Halifax and Fredericton a few weeks ago,b ut decided to attend anyway to see if we could learn anything else (plus to see some kids). My mother went with us as she had never been to one and I wanted her to get a feel for CB and to see the interest there is in the community. Well worth our time again.

Looks like there's a adoption picnic for people at any stage in NS's South Shore in August. We may make a weekend of it and meet some more people.

We're still waiting for a reply from Genevieve about getting assigned a social worker. She told Jen thats she's contacted them to see who's available, but no response yet. Maybe something today.

Thats all for now...
